The producers of "Masterpiece Theater," intent on staying in the good graces of a Federal Communications Commission increasingly vigilant for instances of indecency, took a step last month they never had before. They chose not to make available to PBS member stations an unexpurgated version of the critically acclaimed British series "Prime Suspect," and instead sent out two edited versions: one with all of the salty language edited, and another with only some of the possibly offending words excised.

Taking similar cues from regulators, an Indianapolis radio station pre-empted words like "urinate," "damn" and "orgy" from going out over the air during a recent broadcast of Rush Limbaugh's talk show.

And classic rock radio stations have felt compelled to prune their playlists, striking songs like Elton John's "The Bitch Is Back" and "Bitch" by the Rolling Stones..."

The cultural revolution has begun. We will get this country back to Christian, puritanical, anglo-saxon values again.

Sorry for not posting in forever. I've been busy trying to justify lying to the American public and feeding Congress misinformation. Things are getting sticky. I just need to keep using the phrases "liberation" and "Al Queda" and "September 11," and I think everything will be alright.

The Army dropped a dereliction-of-duty charge against a soldier, but his military career is still in limbo, his attorney said.

Staff Sgt. Georg-Andreas Pogany, 32, an interrogator in the 10th Special Forces Group, was charged with cowardice, punishable by death, Oct. 14 after suffering what he said was a panic attack from seeing the body of an Iraqi mangled by gunfire.

Bastard should have been prosecuted. We don't want no pansy-ass cry-babies in our dadburn military. Our boys should be reveling in every death, and taking delight in seeing every rat-infested mangled corpse.

17 Soldiers Die as Two U.S. Helicopters Crash.

BAGHDAD, Nov. 15 -- Two U.S. Army UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters collided in midair Saturday and crashed into a residential neighborhood in the northern city of Mosul, killing at least 17 soldiers and injuring five, the U.S. military said.

This won't look good to the voters. The public is so finicky... one second they're applauding the War on Terrorism and the second one of our boys goes down, they're all over me like Bill Clinton on an intern. Come on folks, this is WAR. People DIE. sheesh.

These online journals seem to be all the craze, so I figured, heck, why couldn't I get one? After a long, boring day of pretending to pay attention to all those reports and briefs and listening to Dick and Rummie go on about strategy and attack while Ashcroft is talking my ear off about his crazy paranoias about open information and the lack of surveillance in this country, I decided I need a place I can vent. I'm sick of throwing darts at the pictures of Michael Moore and Ted Kennedy. Even shooting beercans off the Whitehouse fence is getting old.
